Moondance has been winning awards regularly since 1998 and this brings the count to 29. Originally brewed when the US Cascade hop wasn't as widely used as it is today but nevertheless it still holds it's own amongst vast competition and remains one of our most popular beers.
16th JuneSTOP ANOTHER BEER TAX RISE - LOBBY YOUR MP NOW
The Government has announced that an "Emergency Budget" will take place on 22nd June.
The signs are that George Osborne plans to increase beer tax and could well also increase VAT to 20 per cent.
It is vital we do all we can to prevent this tax hike threat from happening.
The new Parliament, with 226 new MPs and Labour now in opposition, provides fresh opportunities for us to get our message across. 140 of the new intake backed our campaign as candidates. We need to ensure that they honour their commitment now they are MPs.

Cyclops was developed by a group of industry bodies to help to de-mystify beer. The scheme simplifies tasting notes by just using 3 words to each describe taste, smell and looks. It's an aid for bar staff and for drinkers in both recommending and choosing beers that suit your palate. Once done you can start to learn about the sorts of beers that you like and can look for other beers that would suit you.
You can take a look at the Cyclops website here http://www.cyclopsbeer.co.uk/home.php

After winning Gold in the South East regional tastings, Moondance was put through for judging at the SIBA National beer festival at the Canalhouse, Nottingham in February. The winners were kept a closely guarded secret and announced at the SIBA National conference on Friday the 5th March. 10th February 2010If you haven't seen it already, Moondance is available nationwide in many JD Wetherspoon establishments until March as one of their guest ales. Moondance has won 27 awards and is therefore our most decorated ale. It is made using First Gold, Northdown and Cascade hops and has a wonderful citrus/ floral aroma typical of the Cascade hop. We use traditional floor malted Maris Otter barley and Caragold with a touch of Black malt for a light amber coloured beer that's full of body and biscuity flavours.
